Welcome to our website and to Country Heart Gift Shoppe’s Blog! This is our first post, so we are still “learning as we go”. We look forward to hearing from you with your comments, suggestions, or maybe just to chat and share decorating ideas. Most importantly, we want you to feel welcome, and hope to keep the blog interesting and of value to all visitors.
A little bit about us…
Country Heart Gift Shoppe is a new business owned by life-long best friends (Mary Ann and Dori). This is the realization of a dream that we have had for many years, and we are excited to offer affordable primitive décor, country quilts, pillows, candles, lights, wall hangings, rusty tin products, to name a few. We are committed to offering great service with a smile, and are happy to find that “something special” that you may be looking for! In addition to our website, we are opening a country store in Philipsburg, PA at 21 W Maple Street within a couple weeks. (We purchased the inventory of Maggie Mae’s Mercantile in DuBois, PA., and hope to have the opportunity to serve those customers…welcome!) Busy days ahead!
Our first show…
Country Heart Gift Shoppe attended its first show on Saturday, September 10, 2011 in the beautiful park area of Osceola Mills, PA. This small community of about 1300 welcomed us to their annual “Spirit Days”, and we are so grateful for the kind reception and demonstration of community support. We showcased our wooden decor, wreaths, garland, Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls, fall decor and our patriotic items.
Although there was a threat of rain all day, we had a fantastic show and the showers came after our items were packed up. It was an exciting day for us as we arrived at 8:00 am and set up. Dori and I set up the booth and had the stand looking warm and cozy by the starting time of 9:30. We enjoyed meeting everyone that stopped by our stand and hope that they will bring their 10% discount card and redeem it at our new store opening soon at 21 West Maple Street, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
Well, that’s about it for today – we’d love to hear from you! Until next time…“May the glow of our candle brighten your heart!”
Dear Maryann and Dori, Have just returned from your new shop. It is beautiful ! Your things are lovely. I am sure you will do well. Wishing you many years and a bushel of happiness. Love ya, Lona
